The Social & Community Impact (SCI) team fulfills this mission through a sports-led portfolio of social impact programs and investments reflecting our belief in the power of sport to move the world forward and engaging our internal teams, partners, organizations, experienced professionals and others to strengthen impact.
In addition, we partner with others, both inside and outside of NIKE to deliver broader social and community-focused initiatives that support our Company’s Purpose-based objectives.
The Director for Latin America is a critical member of the Community Impact team, leading and guiding local teams in managing a portfolio of partnerships and engaging employees in the community in key cities in Mexico, Argentina, Brasil and other select cities.
This includes synthesizing local insights to understand the opportunities and barriers to getting kids active, developing community investment strategies and engaging partners with aligned goals to implement programs.
The director will be responsible for all aspects of portfolio management in Nike’s system for approvals, contracting, reporting and budgeting.
It is expected that this person will establish strong connections to a variety of Nike functions and external stakeholders -
Finally, the director will help local teams plan for powerful storytelling, internally and externally. Based in Mexico City, this role reports to GCI’s Senior Director for Asia Pacific & Latin America (APLA), and collaborates closely with local leadership and staff in Brand Marketing, Nike Direct, Government & Public Affairs, Human Resources and others.
