The Red Hat Global Learning Services (GLS) team is looking for an expert in Red Hat OpenStack Platform implementation with a passion for cloud, virtualization, and DevOps to join us as an OpenStack Curriculum Developer in Mexico.
In this role, you will work within an agile team to create and maintain Red Hat’s customer-facing, technical training courses.
You’ll serve as a subject matter expert and author as you develop courses that will include practical labs, supporting text, scripts and code, example playbooks, and test automation.
As an OpenStack Curriculum Developer, you will also need to be passionate about working on new and evolving technologies.
You’ll need to have solid technical writing skils and you will be asked to provide a sample of your writing.
Primary job responsibilities
Design and develop practical lab exercises, including example files and grading automation
Create new courses and update existing course materials in collaboration with subject matter experts and key stakeholders
Build, deploy, and maintain automation scripts and pipelines
Learn new skills and technologies quickly; stay up to date on the changes in our offerings and technologies
Engage and participate in the communities of practice (CoPs) and the Red Hat Learning Communit
3+ years of industry experience with Red Hat OpenStack Platform; experience working as an administrator or engineer in charge of deploying or maintaining Red Hat OpenStack Platform
3+ years of experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or another Linux distribution
Industry experience in one or more areas like datacenter networks, telco, or edge computing
Practical experience with physical or virtual routers, load balancers, firewalls, switches, and software-defined networking (SDN)
Experience using Git in a team environment
Experience interacting with REST APIs using scripting languages like Python, Bash, Ruby, or Lua
Ability to quickly learn new scripting languages, libraries, and tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with an emphasis on technical writing skills; additional languages are a plus
Motivated with excellent interpersonal skills, including experience working as part of an agile global team
Agile methodology implementation experience is a big plus
The following are considered a plus :
Experience with edge computing
Experience with other Red Hat’s technologies like Red Hat Virtualization, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), and Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform
Experience with storage technologies like Red Hat Ceph Storage and Network File System (NFS)
Experience with DevOps automation and pipelines using tools like Git and GitHub and continuous integration (CI) tools like Jenkins
Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification
