Why you'll love this job This role is responsible for managing the financials (close, forecast, budget) of all airports in Mexico and Canada, in addition to all financial and corporate accounting matters pertaining to AA's affiliate IGS in CUN and Cargo operations in MEX What you'll do + Manage the financials (close, forecast, budget) of all airports in Mexico and Canada, in addition to all financial and corporate accounting matters pertaining to AA's affiliate IGS and Cargo operations in MEX + Lead and supervise a total team of 7 + Work on ad hoc projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes + Support the airports division in all financial matters, not limited to contractual services, headcount needs, governmental and airport affairs (e.
g. local filings or corporate real estate) + Provide DFW HDQ Finance organization with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support + Be a partner with International Operations leaders on financial decisions and implications of business strategies, investments, trade-offs, efficiency and scale initiatives, including process and systems transformation + Develop relationships with business units as well as other departments to maximize the effectiveness of projects designed to improve the relative cost performance for American Airlines + Develop and use financial modeling built around operational volume drivers to develop an annual budget and forecast those expenses monthly as volume drivers change All you'll need for success Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience + Bachelor's degree in Finance / Economics / Accounting + At least 7 years of relevant experience + Knowledge or airline / aviation + Fluent in verbal and written English and Spanish + Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and International Financial Reporting Standards + Thorough knowledge and understanding of budgeting techniques knowledge of computer systems and pc software + Domestic and International travel required + Demonstrated knowledge of SAP and Hyperion Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience + Master's degree Skills, Licenses & Certifications + Excellent analytical, presentation and communication skills + Superior analytical skills with an understanding of discounted cash flow analysis, forecasting techniques and variance analysis + Advanced Excel modeling skills What you'll get Feel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer : + Travel Perks : Ready to explore the world?
