Digestive Health / Cough, Cold & Allergy LATAM Regional Category Activation Lead
The role of Regional Category Activation Lead is suited to consumer oriented, performance driven candidates who are passionate about consumer healthcare and want to be key contributors to support in the development and cascading of the strategy / the strategic direction into the countries and drive the executional excellence to make Sanofi a leading player in global CHC CCA & DH franchises.
This role serves both a top down as well bottom up approach by being the exclusive partner of all countries in LATAM Region for global brands to ensure the implementation of the global strategies for local brands & Global brands.
Additionally, this role should be the voice of all countries in LATAM within the categories and work in close collaboration with colleagues from the cross-functional category team up to the global team.
The role also carries financial responsibility in terms of brands market share (volume and Value), net sales, gross margin and profitability.
Category, Brands & Portfolio Strategy Development & Implementation
Be the Voice of the Region, supporting the global team in the creation / development of the global category / brand strategies which are relevant for the markets in the region.
Supporting local teams in the development and implementation of their strategies for local and global brands : works closely with countries to develop and implement relevant strategies for local category / brands and global brands (slightly adapt to local needs if necessary), strives for reapplication as much as possible
Focus on excellence in execution of all global / regional projects and launches
Increase trans-regional cross-fertilization
Countries support in order to leverage existing synergies
Inputs into global strategy to ensure local realization.
Support the digital transformation agenda for the Digestive Health & Allergy categories in the region to ensure we maximize all consumer opportunities in the specific market.

Ensure the correct capability exists within each country to deliver on the Growth Model expectations through training and coaching of the local marketing teams using global materials and previous experiences within and outside Sanofi.
Consumer, Customer, HCP and market understanding
Translate global HCP and consumer strategies in maximising the impact these strategies have on the defined market.
Identify specific local consumer / customer insights to maximise the implementation of global strategy and identify potential local business opportunities
Business Performance and P&L Accountability
Regularly conduct in depth analysis of market trends, brand performance, competition review and make recommendations to optimize & enhance local action plans
Regional P&L accountability
Best Practice sharing
Ensure all markets are aware of all category best practice examples throughout the world assessing relevance for the region.
Best practice sharing and deployment across countries.
Build a bank of best practice examples to facilitate sharing and avoid unnecessary duplication of effort in markets
Track and measure executional results feeding back new findings and insights to the global team for subsequent global Best Practice roll outs.
Cross Functional Relationships
Work in close collaboration with the category & brand leads, the local brands growth model lead and with colleagues from the cross-functional category team
Partner with global / regional Innovation & NPL Leads and Commercial Excellence Lead to align on innovation pipeline and commercial strategy
Work with countries and global team to build a motivated CHC network across regions; measure efficiency of marketing actions, share best practices and roll out the most successful initiatives (do not reinvent the wheel).
8 -10 years minimum experience in consumer marketing through OTC / FMCG industries
Leadership roles such as Global Marketing Leads, small Country GM, Marketing Head, or Marketing Director
Global or international work experience desired.
Experience in leading activities of multifunctional / cross-functional teams.
Good mastering of MS Office applications (Excel, PPT essential)
Experience managing projects independently and autonomously
Education : Third level qualification ideally at Master’s level.

Strong Influencing Skills. (Demonstration of Influencing without authority a must)

Excellent communicator both written and verbal, especially in groups, preparing and delivering presentations
Fluency in English is a must.
