This is the focus of the Access Operations and Emerging Markets business unit, spanning more than 130 resource-limited low-

and middle- incomes countries across Latin America, Africa and Asia.

This Mexico City-based position will focused on building a strategy for Human Resources, will design, conduct and facilitates team-

building, visioning and leadership, influence to make important changes in organizational structure or processes, manage and support a HC of 50 people, high performance org team of based employees.

This position will report to the Headquarters in Foster City and partner with local Leaders in our local affiliate with regional networking.

Position : Senior Human Resources Leader

Key Accountabilities :

  • Provides executive coaching and counsel to senior management team. Influences decisions of client group management regarding organizational structure and identifies action plans for improving business unit performance.
  • Responsible for identifying the need for HR programs or strategies to support business and scientific objectives as well as strategic direction.
  • Collaborates with client group leadership and performance managers to identify employee development and training opportunities within the client group and advises on talent planning and succession strategies.
  • Works to resolve high risk employee relations issues, including performance management, employee grievances and appeals or disciplinary actions.
  • Identifies any underlying issues and recommends solutions to client group leaders.

  • Possesses full knowledge of client’s business operations, including HR policy and regulations relevant to the client group.
  • Utilizes level of knowledge to address operational issues of the client group.

  • May be responsible for developing and managing country or site HR budget and ensuring expenditure is in compliance.
  • May be tasked with process improvements, such as emphasizing improvement of employee engagement, performance management and successful recruiting efforts.
  • Desired Qualifications and Education :

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required. Must possess well-developed influencing skills.
  • Requires an in-depth working knowledge and understanding of Human Resources legislation / employment law, principles, policies, and procedures.
  • May require experience and ability to manage staff.
  • Must be able to exercise judgment and independently determine and take appropriate action within defined HR policies and procedures.
  • Work is performed without appreciable direction. Exercises some latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in the HR field and a BA or BS degree, preferably with an emphasis in HR or Business
  • A Master’s degree can be substituted for 2 years of relevant experience.
