StarTech.com is looking to add a Channel Development Manager to our International Sales Team located in Mexico.

Reporting to the Country Manager Mexico, this role is responsible for developing and maintaining effective business relationships with both new and existing channel partners to maximize product penetration and sales.

The Channel Development Manager is responsible for training channel partners when needed, and is required to create and / or maintain effective account plans for all channel partners selected by the Country Manager.

The individual will support an Account Plan by implementing initiatives that are relevant to the company strategy and objectives.

This an exciting opportunity for a customer focused, ambitious and motivated sales professional to join an organization as part of a growing team, within a rapidly expanding region.

This position will be based out of a home office, and is ideally located in Guadalajara, Mexico City, or Monterrey.

In this role you will :

  • Using your customer focused mindset, you will work closely with channel partners in all areas related to sales by providing detailed forecasts and reports in an effort to both achieve and exceed sales targets
  • Provide thoughtful, clear and customized product training to channel partners either on an individual basis, or in group settings as applicable
  • Work with both internal and external stakeholders to develop and maintain effective and highly collaborative working relationships
  • Partner with both internal and external stakeholders to manage deliverables, resolve issues, and participate in various projects as the account demands
  • Representing StarTech.com, you will travel to and attend various tradeshows and events within Mexico to provide information and sales presentations to attendees, while developing new opportunities and channel partners
  • Continue to build and maintain up to date industry, competitor and product knowledge by leveraging cross functional resources and data sheets / value propositions of StarTech.com products
  • Act as a conduit for customer feedback into the organization regarding current performance and actions that can be implemented in order to facilitate continuous improvement
  • Travel to visit Distributor and Resellers by land or air within Mexico, approximately 50% of the time
  • What you can show us :

  • Written and spoken fluency in both English and Spanish
  • University Degree or equivalent in Business, Computer Science, Marketing, Information Systems or a related discipline
  • The ability to travel without restrictions within Mexico up to 50% of the time, with occasional travel to StarTech.com Head Office in Canada
  • 5 years of experience with Sales / Account Management, with a minimum of 2 spent within the technology industry
  • Demonstrated customer focused outlook, cross-functional communication skills and relationship building experience
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to execute on pre-existing strategies, as well as provide new perspectives and contribution to help deliver insights to help grow business and impact the market
  • Knowledge of the computer peripherals and IT market within Mexico would be highly beneficial
  • An interest in technology, and the technology industry is strongly preferred
