critical software for the banking and finance industry. What We Need : We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer who will provide technical support and system administration across the North and South American region.
This person will be working on the full range of IT support function starting from end user support to system administration to network support.
The ideal candidate will have experience and expertise in working with Active Directory, Exchange, Lync and VMware.What You’ll Do : * Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical problems that impact production systems within the organization.
Manage the daily operation of Active Directory, Exchange, Lync, SCCM, Office 365 and VMware systems. Monitor resource utilization, including such items as CPU, memory, and disk utilization.
Report on system utilization and plan / implement recommended maintenance as required. Perform impact analysis as appropriate.
Write comprehensive documents for building, troubleshooting, installing and supporting Active Directory, Exchange, Lync and VMware servers and applications.
Day to day problem solving of any IT tickets related to Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365, SCCM and VMware.* Automate operational tasks using shell scripts and Windows PowerShell.
Handle certificate requests, generating and installing certificates both from an internal CA as well as a public one.* Maintain and update hardware firmware and driver software.
Create and maintain documentation related to infrastructure and architecture of all systems.* Ensure process for monitoring, backup and recovery, security, and change management are established and documented.
Provide technical support and design for enterprise SAN storage solutions.* Perform or oversee the hardware refresh cycles and code upgrades for the SAN, servers, and other network-
related infrastructure.* Provide Tier 3-4 support for regional site infrastructure and assist with capacity planning for regional and data center infrastructure systems.
Resolve backup, SAN, network, and server-related problems by gathering diagnostic information for submission to vendor support teams, applying and testing fixes, and performing production corrective maintenance.
Support deployment of storage backup systems and coordinates backup monitoring and event management with IT Operations Staff.
Monitor of all production environments, servers, network devices, SAN, applications and necessitates the ability to respond proactively to all fault and performance events and alerts.
Provide documentation and training for Service Desk staff for routine support, monitoring, and maintenance tasks and responsibilities that should not ordinarily require handling by senior technical staff.
Physically install and configure infrastructure server, network and storage systems on site in corporate office location, data centers and at client sites with or without local assistance.
What You’ll Need : * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.* 4+ years of experience within a large, complex corporate structured IT environment or equivalent demonstrable knowledge.
Minimum 3 years Active Directory, Exchange, Lync, SCCM and VMware specific experience.* Experience working in a high pressure computer operations environment.
Ability to work on multiple projects with minimal supervision.* Abilities to meet time sensitive deadliness and multi-tasking essential.
Ability to learn quickly and implement new technologies in a rapid, demanding, and changing environment.* Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
Ability to travel 10-20% domestically* Must have senior level knowledge of daily operations in IT Service Desk, Operations & Infrastructure functions.
Experience designing and implementing medium-larger scale vSphere virtualization infrastructures, deploying advanced virtualization environments in a high-
availability and geographically distributed enterprise using ESX clusters* Senior level expertise working knowledge of NetApp storage products* Strong knowledge of IP-
based and fiber networking for SAN / NAS technologies.* Senior level experience with Windows Server environments, including previous Windows Systems Admin experience.
Computer proficiencies : Active Directory, Windows Server 2008 / 2012, Exchange On-Premises and / or Exchange Online (Office 365), VMware vShpere 4 / 5, Lync Server 2013, System Center Operations Manager, Powershell / VBscript.
Experience with Nutanix will be a plus.
