General Summary :
Responsible to manage, control and sustain the Quality Management System to meet TL9000 and TPR9404 requirements in CommScope and assure that product, process and product delivery requirements are met in the areas under his / her responsibility.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Maintain the quality management system in the areas under your responsibility to meet the requirements of ISO 9000 / TL9000 and TPR 9404 if it is assigned to Fiber Optic areas
Facilitate Process Failure Modes and Effect Analysis (PFMEA)
Prepare quality Control plans.
Prepare quality procedures or instructions.
Obtain disposition of materials, components and non-conforming products.
Get Approvals (RMA) from suppliers when required.
Securing, segregation and identification of non-conforming products.
Evaluate scrap reports and coordinate corrective actions for scrap control and reduction.
Communicate and notify in a timely manner of non-conformities on areas under its responsibility.
Communicate and report quality performance.
Evaluate engineering changes that affect the quality of the product.
Maintain the system of internal corrective and preventive actions and customer complaints.
Coordinate with product engineers, process or manufacturing engineers, materials and logistics the resolution of internal corrective actions and customer complaints.
Support Health and safety-related plans and programs.
Supervises a group of quality inspectors.
Participate in internal audits of the quality system
Actively participate in the implementation of Lean Manufacturing tools as well as in improvement plans to meet the company goals and objectives.
Perform safety and + 5 's audits
Job Requirements :
BS Degree on Industrial, Mechanical, Computer Systems, Electronics, Electrical Engineer or equivalent.
5 years minimum experience in Quality Assurance.
Preferable Black Belt.
English 80% (able to communicate in English verbally and in a written form).
Problem Solving Techniques / 8 Disciplines.
Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis.
Statistical Process Control (SPC).
