Descripción y Requisitos

Manage the human and technical resources of one manufacturing areas, optimizing costs, productivity and achievement of operative goals in order to achieve continuous improvements.

Direct the activities of the direct operators, as well as give support to the manufacturing engineers for the different projects within the manufacturing units, in order to assure they have achieved operational excellence.

Leads and teaches direct operators members to ensure all areas have consistent direction and excellent results.

  • 5 years experience leading manufacturing and production control processes
  • BS degree or equivalent experience in a technical or business field required
  • Experience in leading and communicating with diverse work groups to include engineers, production scheduling, and controls, maintenance and manufacturing associates.
  • Thorough understanding of capacity analysis and manufacturing cost administration.
  • Experience in manufacturing processes to include metal fabrication, plastic extrusion, light electronic assembly and packaging strongly preferred.
  • Successful facility startup experience preferred
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Responsible for establishment of efficient, reliable and profitable manufacturing processes throughout the manufacturing area(s).
  • Coordinates activities of manufacturing areas to enhance operational effectiveness using forecast, capacity planning, and internal metrics.
  • Also leads communication efforts of customer reliability issues or concerns addressed by use of ECNs (Engineering Change Notifications).

  • Directs and manages the activities of the manufacturing supervisors and their respective staffs
  • Responsible for attainment of operational, quality and functional goals as defined by facility management including execution of ISO standards
  • Develop and train the personnel in the operational and technical areas, to assure the adequate supply of capable personnel in the growing stages of the company utilizing the policies established by Human Resources and work instructions defined by manufacturing engineers.
  • Apply a proactive focus in the formal communication exercises established by the company (Daily Operative meeting, CFT, CSI, - - Quarterly Manufacturing Unit meetings) in order to obtain a dynamic response to the constant changes in the market.
