  • Oversee the shared service Finance function incl. accounts payable, accounts receivables, fixed asset and travel expense accounting which include inter-company accounting and preparation of month end closing activities within the defined GBS Accounting scope
  • Support work relating to both internal and external audits in the periodic review of the company financial records and is responsible for the implementation of agreed upon recommendations resulting from the audit findings
  • Drive standard reporting & analysis harmonization and provides consistent reporting support to the firm's finance functions* Support optimization projects to continuously improve quality and efficiency of the GBS accounting processes* Resolve critical issues within GBS Finance and consult with corresponding finance entities (on global or country level)
  • Lead and facilitate a team of Finance Managers as well as exercise governance of the global GBS Finance function for a diverse array of country organizations* Lead teams providing best-in-class, firm-wide Finance support / services in GBS for transnational activities* Drive and define optimization potential of global, integrated processes, standards and GBS accounting systems* Ensure staffing and talent development in the global GBS Finance function* The position entails dealing with tasks in the area of Finance which are not fully determined* The processes to be modified by the employee require an understanding of other than the employee's own job areas and processes which are cross-functional or span several positions* People Management : * Motivate and develop team members* Ensure ethical and accounting principle compliance* Development of people, regular team meetings at least bi-monthly and 1 to 1 reviews preferable monthly* Ensures team follows up all policies and procedures* Ensure smooth daily operations by proper allocation of transnational volume to the team / avoid workload allocation issues or improper allocation leading to inefficiencies of some and overload of other employees* Mentoring and positive attitude to work, proactively sharing knowledge with less experienced team members to support their development.
