ProgramObjective :

The objective is to develop future leaders through a robustprogram of practical training in multiple functions to be well-rounded in theAccounting space.

We are looking for highly motivated and passionategraduates or students in their last year of university, willing to learn andwho are interested in pursuing a career in Finance.

JCI will continue investing in their talent through ourYoung Development Plans.

What youwill do : JobScope & Purpose :

JobScope & Purpose :

The Graduate Rotation Program is a 2 year program thatdevelops recent college graduates into future leaders of Johnson Controls(JCI).

During the 2 year commitment, individuals rotate to new positions every4 months in order to gain an overall understanding of the accounting andfinancial responsibilities within JCI as well as exposure to the variousbusiness models within the company.

During the first year of rotations, thepractitioner will rotate in different areas within the Monterrey Business Center(GBS) and in the second year the individual will rotate in other JCI facilitiesas a full time employee.

Additional training and development opportunities areconsistently presented to the individual and the expectation is to show theextra mile to get further knowledge and increase their network within thecompany.

The program is managed by a steering team of finance leaders fromwithin the company. At the end of the 2 year assignment, individuals alongwith the steering team work to find employees their post-graduation role withinthe business.

How you willdo it :

EssentialJob Responsibilities :

MBC GBS Rotations (practitioner) 1STyear

Assists departments (OTC, PTP, RTR) in simplification and improvement of overall department processes. Assists in the creation of documentation to ensure consistent application and / or interpretation of processes or policies.

Other duties / projects as assigned.

JCI Rotations (Full time employee) 2ndyear

Op (A) - Financial Analyst / Field Business Analyst :

Provides accounting and analytical financial support to management byworking as a financial partner in analyzing ways to improve the profitabilityof the company.

Assists in reviewing and interpreting operational results.

Assists in preparation of the annual operating plan and quarterlyforecasts. These analysis includes comparisons to previous quarters,projections for future quarters, and changes from previousplan / forecast.

Assists in the monthly financial commentary and operations reviews, aswell as analysis of actual results versus financial plan.

Also monitors keyindicators and trends in both income and trade working capital metrics.

Op (B) -Plant Accounting :

Responsible for tracking the financial business transactions thatinclude, but are not limited to : accruals,depreciation, Intercompany transactions, cash transactions, etc.

Must ensure proper accounts are being charged and accurate records arekept.

Perform account analysis and timely preparation of reconciliations toensure balance sheet accuracy including monitoring, tracking, and resolution ofremediation items in a timely manner.

Supports the business units by providing monthly information andanalysis to management.

Ensures compliance to internalcontrols.

What we look for :

PositionRequirements :

  • 1 year to graduate in Accounting Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Fluent in English, strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team player with pro-active approach and problem solving personality.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft® Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet navigation and research, including
  • Ability to utilize basic formulas
  • Utilize Pivot Tables and V-Lookups
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Teams, Power Bi and Macros
  • Experience with accounting softwares (preferably)
  • Excellent customer service, organizational, communication, and follow-up skills, with the ability to work in a fast paced team environment while meeting deadlines
  • Ability to perform moderately complex account reconciliation preferred
  • Experience pulling and analyzingdata from ERP and other systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in reconciling accounts along with demonstrated capability of presenting outcomes to customers
  • Solid self-management
  • Innovative and constantly looking for opportunities to improve
