Your Team responsibilities
Datadesk is a global function (America and Asia) of the Vendor Data Management team focusing on the askData service.
Vendor Data Management is managing third-party vendor content (market data, fundamental data, ESG, alternative data ) including new vendor procurement and evaluation, vendor agreement compliance / reporting and vendor budget.
The team also support the askData service, a single point of entry for all data (content) requests. The service is extensively used by MSCI product, research and data teams to identify new dataset to support MSCI products (existing or new) and / or confirm vendor data usage and rights.

Your key responsibilities
Support the askData requests’ pipeline by diligently answering requests assigned to you according defined SLAs.
Request triage process + askData metrics.
Evaluate data from vendors to assess if it is fit for current requirement and use cases. Work with vendor files, manuals and develop an understanding of the data structure.
Develop business understanding of each use case for vendor data in order to choose the appropriate metrics to quantify coverage, quality and stability when evaluating the dataset.
Summarize results in a Data Receipt and provide recommendations through concise marketing materials in presentations, conference calls.
Streamline and Automate any of our existing processes that can be automated.
Understanding of MSCI systems, databases to identify candidate datasets.
Your skills and experience that will help you excel
Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology or similar field with 2-3 years of relevant professional experience.
You have strong interest in Finance - work experience in finance and / or capital markets. any progress towards CFA or FRM would be a plus.
You have experience with providers of financial data products (Refinitiv, ICE, S&P, Factset etc.) preferred.
You have some knowledge of database structures and know SQL or other database querying language.
You have some level of proficiency (good to have) in PYTHON (preferred) or R; knowledge of other technical languages would be positive.
Good communication skills (written and oral) and proficiency in creating presentations.
Are an independent worker who can drive certain parts of the work with minimal oversight
