What to Expect

As an NPI Manager, you will lead and direct New Product Introduction, Process Engineering projects to support mass production at the Bermudez, Mexico facility.

Ensure that all projects are successfully handled to meet planned timelines, budgets and project scope requirements. Structure projects in accordance with the Product Development Process.

How You'll Help Us Connect the World

Duties and Responsibilities :

Manage & develop NPI teams, including technical and supporting roles

Develop and execute Manufacturing Engineering strategies to align with Operations

Support product transfers at the site in accordance with strategic localization plans, in collaboration with the Integration Solutions Global Team.

Lead NPI projects as the key technical representative. Collaborate with Project Management, Planning, Operations, Design Engineering, Quality and Procurement teams on execution of the project plans.

Centralize control and ensure global compliance for process and NPI Integration Solutions engineering operations

Maintain project schedules and expedite tasks as needed to support project timelines. Publish periodic schedule status for each project and elevate delay issues to appropriate management representatives.

Provide training support to NPI teams locally and at receiving facilities regarding product specific processes and requirements.

Define key manufacturing cost drivers and influence designs.

Drive DFX through concurrent engineering involvement of the NPI teams during the product development process

Responsible for the trial manufacture of new models, and making and issuing WIs,

Working with fixture engineers and suppliers for new soldering fixture design, review the fixture layout and soldering feature

Incorporate lean initiatives & improvements in the manufacturing and operations function within the project framework.

Controls CapEx spending for Integration Solutions operations at the site.

Plan and supervise project budgets for capital and expense items. Review status with management team regularly.

Required Qualifications for Consideration

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering related discipline.
  • Ten years of relevant experience with five years of managerial experience.
  • Technical knowledge of Sheet Metal fabrication processes, including welding, stamping, forming & finishing systems.
  • Experience in SAP planning & order scheduling.
  • Ability to manage sophisticated projects within a product development gate process
  • Experienced in FMEA / DFM / DOE
  • Hands-on approach, work effectively in a team to solve problems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, representing project status & issues to the Senior Management team & peers
  • Ability to lead teams including mentor, negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in English Language (written and spoken).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel).
