Job Overview TE Connectivity's Manufacturing and Process Development Engineering Teams significantly impact LEANPD driven new product development projects, driving for excellence in existing manufacturing technologies and methods and striving to implement new manufacturing technologies to provide improved process and tolerance control.
They act as the binding element between product development and manufacturing engineering, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of this critical interface.
They support Product Development in the optimization of designs and piece parts for manufacturability by realizing sample tooling / products / prototypes.
They also design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes to meet TE quality and production standards, document all processes and tooling in applicable TE systems, support supply chain to verify supplier compliance and capability, initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, cost and cycle time and adhere to all appropriate specifications, regulatory requirements and customer requirements.

Position Overview :
The Process Dvl Engineering Supervisor will lead a team of Process Development Engineers in the development of new processes for NPI projects of sensor manufacturing.
The end results will be the selection of a set of process technologies / steps that enables the creation of various and highly capable manual, semi-automatic, and high speed automatic assembly equipment for sensors and a product design set for Manufacturability (Design for Manufacturing).
Job Duties :
Lead a team of Process Development Engineers in the development of various NPI projects for different customers and industries
Participate on NPI teams, suggesting design optimizations to help steer the product design to achieve lowest cost and highest manufacturing efficiency
Work with the Project / Product teams to manage project prioritization, design and resource allocation needs
100% responsible for process flow definition (process steps, sequence), for selecting the manufacturing process technologies with regards to capacity, cost, and robustness.
Provide technical guidance to the team; actively participate in machine specification by selecting Process technologies and delivering Process technology Validation Plan.
Actively participate in milestone reviews, and machine acceptance, technical problem resolution relative to Process technologies.
Drive and contribute to new process planning activities including PFMEA for process technology, Control Plans
Design and execute Design of Experiments to establish critical process parameters with limits correlated to product functionality
Perform Process technology validation (including all related documentation)
Design / Prototype toolings and fixtures, perform mechanical worst case calculation
Ensure best practice regarding use of and adoption of engineering processes and tools to allow efficient delivery of projects (Product Development)
Work close to Design teams and with receiving teams within the operations locations to ensure lessons learned and VOC (Voice of the Customer) improvements are ongoing for delivered processes
General management to include recruitment, technical skills requirements, appraisals, succession planning, pay reviews, career development and training
Skills / Qualifications :
BS in Mechanical Engineering preferred or similar engineering discipline
5-7+ years process engineering experience including some engineering leadership within the Automotive Industry or similar
Green Belt 6 sigma certification or above is a plus
Experience with Sensors Manufacturing is a plus or related processes : Electrical / Calibration testing, Wire Bonding, Chemical Dispensing, TIG Welding, Laser Welding, Stripping / Crimping, Wire Soldering, Leakage Testing
Experience executing and delivering new process development projects on time, on cost and on-quality (NPD cycle)
Previous experience with CAD (3D & 2D), tool / fixtures and / or machine mechanical design is a MUST (Solidworks)
Ability to work within a multicultural engineering management team
Demonstrated success in delivering process innovation development projects
Strong communication, presentation, and resource management skills
Excellent project management and organizational skills
Proficient in English language
US visa is a plus
Frequent national and international travel required (25-50%)
