Regional Sales Manager North Latin America and Caribbean (Mexico)

Summary :

The Regional Sales Director / Sr. Manager North Latin America and Caribbean will lead our International sales effort in the region.

The goal is to launch products, drive sales, maximize market penetration through strategic sales and marketing efforts. The Regional Sales Director or Sr.

Manager North Latin America and Caribbean will be responsible for developing sales strategies and tactics that achieve the revenue goals of the Company.

Preferably based inMexico City, Mexicoessentially overseeing all of North Latin America and Caribbean. This position will report to the Commercial Director, LATAM.

Major Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for all MGI products in North Latin America and Caribbean, including all instruments and consumables. Ultimately accountable for the revenue and profits in North Latin America.
  • As a key member of regional commercialization team, develop and execute overall commercialization strategies for North Latin America and Caribbean and beyond.
  • Deliver accurate and timely forecasts for their territory.

  • Work closely with Marketing and Product Management team and other teams (such as R&D and technical support team) to enable the platform business growth and to determine optimal product offering and pricing for each market within North Latin America and Caribbean.
  • Hands-on direct sales to accounts and develop commercial channels in all North Latin America and Caribbean cities;
  • Regularly communicate and review strategies and status of business, market and competitor environment, using reporting systems and processes
  • Customer focus : understand customer needs and what MGI can offer to address those needs. Build and maintain great customer relationships while meeting company business goals.
  • Develop and execute a regional MGI products sales strategy to achieve YoY revenue growth targets, participate in the development of go-to-market strategy and marketing materials as needed;
  • Identify and pursue MGI products growth opportunities within verticals and across new markets within North Latin America and Caribbean.
  • Build brand awareness and reach by finding, establishing and developing relationships with individuals and organizations who can add to the success of the business
  • Develop trade programs and MGI products’ applications and product promotions that will encourage growth with business partners and contribute to expanding the Company's product offering in the market.
  • Monitor and report on competitors' offers and promotions
  • Provide Marketing with real needs that will successfully promote MGI products and lead to increased product sell-through at the retail level
  • Provide direction for development, evaluation, and expansion of the sales team and program within the region.
  • Qualifications :

  • B.S. or M.S / Ph.D. degree in Business, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering or related field or equivalent life science professional experience, specially genomics
  • 3-5 years of sales management experience and sequencing related platform sales
  • International sales and sales management experience a plus
  • A self-starting leader who is motivated by individual and team success
  • Capable of managing complex programs for multiple consumer products
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment are required
  • Candidate must be fluent in English and Spanish;Frenchis a plus.
  • Communicate across multiple channels effectively
  • Experience using word software, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
  • Working knowledge of CRM Systems, experience with Salesforce preferred
  • 50% Travel within Latin America and to US as required
  • Experience in both RUO and IVD markets, a plus
