Customer Success contributes to our efforts to enhance and transform the Calypso customer experience via a client-centric approach (building and maintaining relationships, proactively identifying potential crises that may detrimental to the user experience, meeting and exceeding client expectations).

Thus, helping to differentiate Calypso and contributing to the growth of our business. Customer Success is composed of several organizations (Customer Delivery, Cloud Services, Calypso Learning Services, Customer Support, and Customer Success Management) that manage the customer’s journey at Calypso.

Team overview

The purpose of CDC (Customer Delivery Centre) is to provide business expertise to support an organization's global or domestic implementation by designing new processes, optimizing current ones, managing complex implementation projects, providing user support and training.

Role overview

We’re looking for a Manager who will be responsible for managing a team of Technical Consultants, locally based within your domain of specialisation.

You will be responsible for coaching and mentoring them along with the utilization targets of direct reports, with active support from the Director of Customer Delivery.

In this role, you will act as an internal champion to support the vision, positive culture, and team spirit of the Customer Delivery organization.

Alongside your managerial responsibilities you will also be hands on consulting with our clients across the Americas as part of your day-to-day.

Responsibilities

  • Provide domain expertise and support to your direct reports
  • Identify ideas for generating additional business for the Customer Delivery organization, or to contribute to making implementations more efficient
  • First escalation point for conflict management, relationship management, and other issues
  • Ensure new hires receive the appropriate training so that they can become highly productive as quickly as possible.
  • Proactively support the Director of Customer Delivery in driving hiring decisions and meeting utilization targets for the region
  • Ensure proper usage of resources when not assigned to project
  • The Team manager will be actively engaged in one or two projects at the same time : Analyze Client’s IT landscape and define integration map to Calypso (IN and OUT interfaces)Design and build interfaces as agreed in scopeDefine Calypso IT environment management strategySupport client in the implementation of performance testsWork with Functional Leads to design and build any agreed customizations using Calypso’s Java API’sEnsure that your team follows the administrative tasks, OpenAir, etc.
  • Skills and Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience gained in systems or technical analysis, preferably in the capital markets industry
  • Demonstratable experience in commercial software including Core Java, Jboss, Multi-threading, JDBC, RMI, J2EE, Linux, Sybase, XML
  • Good Core Java development experience is a must.
  • Good understanding of JVM performance tuning (Garbage collection, thread dumps and memory parameters)
  • Experience on Unix shell scripting for log manipulation and Ant script for building projects.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • Experience on Eclipse IDE with debugging knowledge
  • Application Profiling using Yourkit or any other tool
  • Strong on Object Oriented Principles, Design Patterns etc.
  • Knowledge of relational databases and SQL including working experience with Sybase and / or Oracle
  • Willingness and ability to travel periodically, as required.
  • Experience managing teams is a must
