At Calypso, R&D comprises of Development, Product Management, Quality Assurance and Architecture and Infrastructure teams working towards delivering a powerful yet flexible technology platform keeping the needs of end customer in mind.

Our Development teams ensure that all code is delivered to clients with a highest quality. Product managers are a home of technical and capital market experts who work together to design and build of our software and product roadmap whereas our QA team is constantly aimed at enhancing the quality of our platform delivery through test methodologies for implementations, upgrades and migrations.

Role Overview

Calypso is seeking a Product Specialist with experience in specifically Buy Side, Asset Management, Order and Portfolio Management (including Portfolio Analytics, Performance Measurement and Attribution, GIPS and Portfolio Risk) to contribute in the global expansion of our cross-asset front to back solution.

This is a tremendous opportunity for a candidate with the necessary experience to contribute to the development of Calypso’s Investment Decision Support offering for a large segment of Calypso’s clients.

The ideal candidate will have very strong background in Finance and Asset Management.

Responsibilities :

Using / testing the system daily, trying to mimic client’s workflows, business scenarios, daily operativity as our clients and users would do

Working with QA and engineers to stress test the system across the full spectrum of functionalities and features, especially for new developments, ahead of delivering it to clients

Keeping a critical eye on system usability and user experience in general, so to come up with simple ideas / features that could make the system easier to implement, configure, set up, use, maintain.

Working closely with Product Support, Customer Delivery (Professional Services), senior Product Managers, QA and Engineers to investigate / validate client’s issue and detail possible solutions or workarounds

Writing detailed Functional Analysis of Client and Market Requirements

Working closely with clients to agree on Business Requirement Documents

Working closely with the Calypso Quality Assurance team to develop test cases

Carrying out functional testing of developed solutions

Presenting and demonstrating solutions to Clients

Working closely with senior Product Managers to keep documentation complete and current

Skills & Requirements :

At least 3 years of professional experience.

B.S / Master in Business / Finance or Technical field.

Strong analytical and technical skills combined with business acumen.

The role requires : Knowledge / experience of Performance Measurement and Attribution (including GIPS standards), Order Generation and Portfolio Management Willing to get down and dirty writing specs, dealing with Developers and QA testing functionality helping to demo and implement the software

Must be able to work independently

Must be a fast learner, self-motivated, team player, and collaborator

Good oral and written communication skills are essential
