Sales Director, Food Colors Mexico-(003709)

Goals :

  • Direct all the Sales activities in SCLA for the achievement of the planned and approved targets for sales and profits.
  • Establish plans, policies and procedures for sales activities as well as align policies and procedures to those of the corporate offices.
  • Build, train and motivate the sales force to achieve the Sales targets of SCLA, the division and the corporate offices.
  • Develop and monitor the sales strategy to achieve growth (Perform analysis of possible acquisitions, market development, diversification of the business).
  • Responsible for being in contact with product managers as well as their supervision.
  • Responsibilities

  • Direct the preparation of the budget, additionally to the annual and medium term forecast.
  • Monitor and ensure the fulfillment of plans, strategies and resources for the achievement of agreed targets.
  • Direct the activities of the product managers and sales force towards the objectives of obtaining maximum profitability from the lines and products.
  • Implement the pricing policy ensuring that it is within the legal and corporate policies and ensure the fulfillment of the required profit targets.
  • Provide early information to the Director of Technical Service on the trends where the sales area will focus on new markets and products.
  • Assist the CEO in medium and long term plans as well as with specific projects.
  • Identify companies as possible candidates for acquisition by SCLA.
  • Investigate and introduce products with high profitability to the market to satisfy existing needs.
  • Create, develop, regulate and monitor distribution channels based on maximizing the profitability of SCLA.
  • Implement the policies for sales conditions, packing and transport in accordance with SCLA profitability targets.
  • Monthly review of results and establish the necessary changes for the final fulfillment of the targets.
  • Prepare incentive plans.
  • Analyze and reduce the business risks for your area of responsibility.

    Education and Experience

  • Ideally a Bachelor's Degree in Administration, Finance or Chemistry.
  • MBA preferable
  • Business fluency in Spanish and English
  • Experience in B2B sales of food ingredients, raw materials or similar products
  • Proven sales successes
  • At least 2 years experience in leading a commercial team in the CAM or LATAM regions
