Working alongside the business and other key stakeholders, we’re looking for someone to build out our Risk Strategy & Partnerships program in Latin America!
Based out of Mexico City, we are looking for a strong candidate to build, develop and execute risk strategy for the Latin America region.

Among all this, the Risk Partnerships & Strategy Team (RPS) plays a critical role in managing the company’s payments risk frameworks.
Within RPS, we are seeking to bring on someone dedicated to the LATAM region to partner with our LATAM business teams and other cross-functional stakeholders to oversee complex risk strategy and programs, manage our financial partner risk relationships and help drive market and product expansion forward.
You will :
Drive risk strategy from scoping to design to execution through supporting launches and growth of Stripe’s new payment methods and markets
Manage our financial partner risk relationships in region, including building relationships, understanding requirements, and monitoring risk using a metrics-driven approach
Work together with cross functional teams, including in-region leadership, product, engineering, and business teams to prioritize, scope and roll out launches
Challenge the payments industry status quo to help enable innovative businesses flourish online
Continue learning about the payments space through industry engagement and independent research, and scale your knowledge to others
We’re looking for someone with :
Expertise in managing financial partners, balancing growth and risk for Stripe
Strong stakeholder management including navigating difficult situations, negotiating timelines, and the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders across organizations and borders
A data-driven approach to decision-making. You are analytical, objective and skilled at utilizing metrics to influence and drive decisions
Demonstrated project management experience and a proven track record for building and scaling programs from the ground up
Excellent collaboration, communication, and relationship building skills and the ability to convey complex ideas succinctly to all audiences
10+ years of professional experience with partner-facing roles
Fluency in English and either Spanish or Portuguese
You also likely have :
Experience using SQL to answer business problems
Strong payments background and are passionate about the space. You understand the inner workings of various payment methods
Experience in the risk or compliance space
