Description

Contribute to the design of mechanical parts and assemblies. Work in a cross-functional development group. A variety of tasks and activities are required in this dynamic environment.

Handle some designs. Responsibilities

Contribute to design projects with complex design challenges and broad scope.

Create 3-Dimensional models using 3D Computer-Aided Design (CAD) package, preferred CREO 4.0 and greater.

Create and revise drawings and bill of materials

Interact with employees, outside vendors and suppliers as needed.

Build prototypes to support the development of product design.

Participate in identification of cost reduction opportunities and in the design and development of cost reduction changes.

Minimum Education Level BA or BS or equivalent experienceBachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or directly related degree preferred.

Associate's degree in related field and at least 4 years' experience may be accepted in lieu of degree Minimum Years of Experience 3-5 years of experienceMinimum of 3 years of relevant experience (e.

g. developing mechanical parts and assemblies) with Bachelor's degreeMinimum of 4 years of relevant experience with an Associate's degree Special Skills Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in Spanish and English.

Ability to use a personal computer and job-related software Ability to work and multi-task in a fast paced environment Excellent project management skills

Demonstrated record of meeting deadlines and goals for design projects.

Demonstrated ability using applicable engineering modeling tools.

Technical knowledge of content primarily related to mechanical design

Working knowledge of product lifecycle management tools

Demonstrated history of delivering quality products to market with understanding and respect for all phases of the product development process;

Ability to work independently and as a member of a dynamic team
