The Sr Analyst, Global People Services, People Analytics serves in a project leadership capacity to gather and refine requirements, design solutions and advise management, Global and Regional HR leaders, Global and Regional COEs, GPS and Nissan Digital teams on analytics solutions.

Works to ensure enablement of globally consistent analytics capabilities across HR, the adoption and utilization of Nissan’s HR global systems and supports the evolution of HR into forward looking, strategic analytics fully supporting data driven human capital and workforce strategy decisions.

Leads and supports change management activities for analytics projects and initiatives ensuring an excellent user experience across HR.

This position to be based in Mexico City, Mexico Headquarters or Aguascalientes location.

Job Functions

  • Leads projects and serves as an internal consultant for global analytics initiatives ensuring an excellent user experience in Workday supporting people analytics needs (HR and business leaders) to build a people analytics culture across the organization.
  • Develops and maintains analytic tools to enable and deliver insights around the workforce to internal HR leaders and business leaders.
  • Conducts quantitative analyses using various internal and external data sources (Workday as main source) to identify key issues and trends that support workforce strategies and human capital decisions.
  • Develops and coordinates change management plans including aligning with HR functional users including communications, training, and awareness activities.
  • Serves in a project leadership capacity to :
  • Manage project deliverables and deadlines
  • Designs and conducts needs assessment with customers and other GDHR teams to provide robust solutions in alignment with people analytics strategy
  • Manage client and customer expectations through timely checkpoints to provide status on issues, roadblocks, risks, changes and accomplishments
  • Escalate issues to management appropriately to support timely resolution and ensure continued progress to project completion
  • Promotes and leverages global analytics library of tools and methods appropriately applying them to clients’ business problems.
  • Gain and maintain thorough knowledge of tools to support the analytics platform through hands-on testing of use cases to accurately respond to product behavior questions and challenges.

  • Leads continuous improvement efforts by making recommendations for relevant analytics processes, tools and methodologies and executing key process improvement activities.
  • Stays updated on current trends in HR Digitalization and People Analytics.

  • Supports all Data, Reporting & Analytics activities within assigned area and work closely with teammates to support other areas and ensure alignment.
  • As necessary, performs other related duties of which the above are representative.
  • Minimum Qualifications

    Job Knowledge and Skill :

  • Experience in a consultative environment as a team lead / product / project manager highly desired; ability to engage strongly with global clients / stakeholders with design creation, prototyping and demonstration to build trust and credibility.
  • Excellent analytical skills; ability to augment quantitative analyses with qualitative inputs, bringing forward actionable insights for HR leaders and business leaders
  • Ability to think critically about a problem and provide solutions.
  • Excellent aptitude for technology with ability to quickly learn new software and applications.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of database and visualization tools : Access, Tableau, Advanced Excel, Powerpoint
  • Knowledge and experience with Workday reporting and analytics tools a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including ability to engage with and influence HR leaders, business leaders and HR COEs and Business Partners.
  • Ability to simplify complex and / or conceptual information. Ability effectively adapt and communicate to technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Experience with cross-functional, cross-affiliate, multi-cultural / global teams on activities / projects
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, self-starter with a successful track record, able to manage multiple assignments concurrently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong emotional intelligence and demonstrated ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines as required.
  • Strong knowledge of workforce analytics and planning principles, trends and best practices.
  • Experience :

  • Five years (with advanced degree) or seven years (without advance degree) of directly related professional level experience including product / project management experience (system / solution design, process and support) required.
  • Certification in Workday (Pro), ITIL, PMP, Scrum, Lean, Six Sigma, Quality concepts is a plus.

    Education :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration / Strategy, Information Systems, Finance / Accounting, Mathematics / Statistics or related field.
  • Advanced degree in related discipline (MBA) preferred.

    Physical Requirements

    Business Hours :

    Ability to work outside standard business hours to collaborate and support global counterparts.

    Travel :

    Occasional as needed to support global projects and initiatives.
