The ADAS Test and Validation group is continuing to build and strengthen our component level testing and development with the addition of a highly motivated and technically skilled ADAS Test Engineer.
The Test Engineer supports our defined projects in the area of planning, preparation and performing the needed testing of ADAS sensor systems against defined requirements.
The ADAS Test group is involved in vehicle and product integration, development & testing of long and short range Radar, Camera vision systems, LIDAR and related advanced vehicle sensing components.
We are currently developing Full Speed Range Adaptive Cruise Controls, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Detection, Forward Object Detection and Collision Mitigation Systems.
Core Responsibilities :
Project planning documents (engineering portion)
Project Plan, Schedule, CM Plan
Managing Risk / Action List / Meeting Minutes
Writing System Integration Tests cases against System Architecture Requirements Specifications using Functional Safety Test techniques
Execute test cases per the test specification
Automation of Test cases
Support Environmental level testing and Set-up
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in test set-up and make hardware changes as needed
Perform software updates on DUT (Devices Under Test) as needed
Perform sensor test activities and provide results to stake holders for review
Travel to laboratories to troubleshoot issues when requested
Document customer issues and engage the appropriate Continental support
Support other discipline teams when issues arise and additional support is needed
Assistance with other tasks as needed and determined by Management.
Around 4 to 5 years of Component Bench Level testing experience (SW or HW bench Testing)
Working experience on writing test scenarios based on ISO 26262 functional test techniques
Working experience with automotive protocols e.g. CAN, LIN, xCP etc.
Working experience on automotive diagnostics protocols like UDS, KWP 2000 etc..
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering or Mechatronics or equivalent.
Proficient with, Vector Tools, CAPL scripting, Visio, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Knowledge of electrical design and analysis both analog and digital.
Excellent oral and written communication skills (Presentations, Test reports, etc.)
Work in a team environment, strong initiative, self motivated and flexible.
Able to multitask to meet project timing (time management skills)
Logical problem solver, pays attention to detail.
Valid driver license.
Must have a valid USA Visa and travel availability
Experience with environmental testing is a must
Proficient knowledge of Environmental OEM requirements (GMW3172, DVPnR, CS11982, etc.)
Expert with C language
Basic knowledge of DOORs requirements management tool.
Basic knowledge of JIRA task management tool is preferred, not a must.
