GENERAL SUMMARY :
Assure a secure environment for all personnel and assets by an adequate and efficient management of security procedures and prevention programs.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Assume total control for physical security of personnel and company assets;
Ensure all security personnel perform all their tasks and duties as described in the security procedure;
Ensure to provide necessary information to the security agents to perform their activities according to instructions and orders given by the director.
Responsible for the administration and operation of the surveillance camera system, control of the recording system, access system and surveillance patrols, and all other equipment use in the security department.
Responsible for the of control the keys inventory, by keeping the inventory up to date.
Responsible for controlling the access to the employees, as request by Human Resources.
Conducts all around building's inspection to identify risk factors related to security, fire prevention and environment safety.
Write a report and submit corrective actions to the director.
Write complete incident report, regarding vandalism, accidents and any other type of incident to the director.
Assist the director in coordinating the emergency procedures for the building and site.
Assist and coordinate with the responsible of the emergency brigade, health and safety and environment department in all activities regarding the emergency procedures.
Ensure to control the inventory, circulating lists, registers, documents, equipments and information under his responsibility.
Encourage, supervise coordinate and perform initial and continue formation of the security personnel and employees.
Responsible for the implementation and follow- up of the clean desk policy.
Coordinates the inspection of inbound and outbound trailers in the plant and in the yard.
Conducts inspections to detect drugs as requested.
Establish contacts and communications with external resources such as police, fire department, health department and emergency.
Participates in local and regional security committees : AMAC, OSAC, etc.
Ensure a security agent is present during construction / renovation, by having a close coordination with project managers.
Any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Performs activities related to safety
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED :
Education : Bachelor’s degree in security or equivalent in experience
General knowledge of laws and regulations such as, Political Constitution of the United Mexican States, Civil Code, Traffic Law, Federal Labor Law.
Proven knowledge and skills in handling computer packages such as Microsoft Office; Excel, Word and Power Point
Abilities to manage C-TPAT and OEA certifications
Ability to prepare track Requisitions, purchase Orders and Invoices and budget administration.
Knowledge of use of CCTV, ACCESS CONTROL AND MASTER KEY systems
Bilingual (English Spanish)
Knowledge of HS&E (Desirable)
With the knowledge to direct and operate security projects by designing a security policy, as well as having the capabilities to propose solutions to the security challenges presented by the company's development
With the skills to design plans and institutional programs related to security and the culture of legality and with the ability to apply the following competencies :
1. Develop innovative solutions and appropriate changes to problems related to security in all its senses.
2. Design and implement control systems for strategic information on security to facilitate decision making.
3. Act as an agent of strategic change in the interaction with multidisciplinary work groups, to identify problems and generate security solutions.
4. Critical analysis for the design of research projects and their application with high standards in the industry.
5. Knowledge for the design and application of innovative security strategies
