Department Description

The Global Procurement Organization provides the resources, processes, governance, systems and controls for acquiring goods and services efficiently, effectively and ethically from a diverse supply base that provides Motorola Solutions a competitive advantage on cost, quality, technology, service and delivery.

The Systems Procurement Organization is responsible for the Procurement of third party equipment, services, and software deployed in the field which is essential to the operation of our customer’s solutions.

    Job Description

    The Procurement Category Analyst is responsible for assisting Category Managers and Procurement leadership in the day to day operations of the Procurement organization.

    The ideal candidate will be responsible for Procurement’s portion of the Order to Cash process, assist with the resolution of shortages and supply constraints, assist with category strategies and managing assigned categories.

    This position will work closely with other Procurement team members, Accounts Payable, Business Teams, the Project Management Organization and report directly to the Network Systems Procurement Manager.


    Working knowledge of the procurement role

    Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure smooth flow of orders and payment to suppliers.

    Assist Category Managers with Spend Analysis and Category Strategies.

    Manage non-strategic categories with minimal supervision

    Collaboration in a cross functional, global environment
