Job Description :
This role will be in charge of supporting the communications strategy and execution for the Scotch portfolio in Mexico, in order to scale our foot print into Johnnie Walker and Buchanan's goals, through Public Relations, Partnerships and Content Amplification.
We need a charismatic leader who can successfully manage complex, very fast moving and unexpected communication challenges to insert our brands into culture.
The candidate will be accountable of ensuring our brands' comms strategy and execution, influencing multi-disciplinary teams with strong leadership, credibility and a clear action plan to implement holistic brand advocacy and talkability platforms.
He or she will be responsible for crafting and landing brilliant strategy and execution :
With key media and influencers, driving cultural relevance and talkability for our brands across traditional and new platforms, and generating a community who endorses our brands
Think differently about our advocacy and talkability approaches to infuse experimentation and innovation into our work and the team.
Translate our brands' must dos within the current cultural landscape to create plans that raise our Scotch portfolio, becoming the most talked about brands across a variety of media outlets and platforms (earned, owned and paid media).
Act as a thought leader in the arena of PR and earned media to provide guidance to the brand teams, working closely with cross functional teams to develop breakthrough and integrated PR / communication concepts.
Lead and supervise external agencies and key partners on brand initiatives, setting measurable objectives for new content creation and its media / social coverage.
Manage brand specific budgets.
Required Background :
8 years’ experience in Communications / Public Relations and / or brand management within the spirit / food / hospitality / music / entertainment industries.
Proven strategy development and ability to manage and collaborate with internal and external cross functional leadership teams : Brand, Media, Consumer planning, Sales, Finance, Legal, Procurement, etc, translating this into the PR arena.
Proven knowledge of the digital ecosystem (social media, SEO, native / branded content, blogs, apps, etc.).
Excellent media handling skills (must), great presentation skills (must).
Proven network in media, lifestyle partners & influencer targets within Mexico.
Great communication, creativity, diplomacy, flexibility, adaptability, people management, ability to challenge constructively, self-motivated, entrepreneurial.
