Primary purpose of the position :
Process weekly and biweekly payroll in a timely and accurate manner to include all changes submitted through Service Now Tickets.
Enter salary adjustments, bonuses, statutory and non-statutory deductions and other payroll related data in preparation for payroll processing.
Review preliminary payroll reports to ensure the accuracy of earnings and deductions prior to submitting payroll for Payroll Manager’s approval.
Produce on demand check as needed.
Assist employees with general payroll questions and educate as needed on company specific payroll policies.
Work closely with HR, Benefit, Finance and Accounting on all payroll related financial analysis and issues.
Continuously identify and develop solution to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Assists with quarterly and year end payroll processes.
Responsible for all incoming mails, emails, and efaxes.
Perform monthly and quarterly review of payroll accuracy.
Responsible for sending the Union Dues out to the Union on a monthly basis.
Work with HR Plant Manager and Time and Attendance Manager to complete COLA calculations on a quarterly basis.
Take proper action to ensure bank rejects and deletes are updated in timely manner.
Process all employees’ forms for state and local taxes accurately.
Complete all verification of employments.
Other tasks as assigned.
Essential Responsible Areas : Process weekly (U2 and U3), biweekly (U5-Verona) and monthly (U7 and U8) payroll.
All other administrative / clerical payroll functions.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related area.
3+ years of payroll experience with at least 500+ employees.
Excellent verbal and written skills. Fluent in English.
Detail oriented, strong organizational skills, ability to set priorities to meet strict deadlines.
Intermediate to advanced excel skill know how to use vlookup and sumif functions.
Must be familiar with labor laws.
