The Digital Sales organization is a newly formed organization with a charter to accelerate Microsoft’s growth in its cloud-first, mobile-first businesses along with the traditional businesses.

This organization is at the forefront of establishing a new sales model leveraging modern technology and big data and analytics to drive impactful demand response and targeted sales coverage.

The Account Executive allows Microsoft to better serve our clients realize the potential of Microsoft Technologies and be at the forefront of the transition to a mobile-first and cloud-first organization.

This role is dedicated to increasing revenue and improving customer satisfaction through senior account management working in tandem with Microsoft Partners within the Education Industry territory of accounts.

The Account Executive adds value by developing and maintaining strong customer relationships that include building relationships with executives at the Chief-level (CxO) as well as other Business and Technical Decision Makers within the customers’ organizations.

This role is unique in its ability to effectively leverage technology and extensive members of the virtual sales team to build strong relationships with the accounts in its portfolio.

It is also unique in its ability to work directly with and through Microsoft Partners to meet customer needs.

  • Responsibilities

  • You will build and foster relationships with the largest government customers both national as well as state and local and will be at the forefront of their digital transformations.
  • Envision working jointly with these customers to merge their mission priorities with engineering roadmaps to digitally transform the way governments operate.
  • Be the visionary that takes senior government officials on a journey using your experience and knowledge of Public Sector.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from finding a client to securing a deal.
  • Create detailed business plans to facilitate the attainment of goals and quotas.
  • Execute on existing customer renewals while driving expansion and cross-sell.
  • Discover new sales opportunities through networking and turn them into long term partnerships.Present products to prospective clients.
  • Provide professional after-sales support to enhance the customers’ dedication.
  • Remain in frequent contact with the clients in your responsibility to understand their needs.
  • Respond to complaints and resolve issues aiming to customer contentment and the preservation of the company’s reputation.
  • Negotiate contracts and keep records of sales and data.
  • Effectively orchestrate members of the virtual sales team to build strong relationships with the accounts in its portfolio and maximize revenue per account and Cloud penetration.
  • Qualifications

    Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Account Executive, or in other sales / customer service role with a minimum of 3 years experience
  • Oral & Written English Fluency
  • Public sector experience
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of market research, sales and negotiating principles
  • Working knowledge of market supported
  • Outstanding knowledge of Microsoft Office, knowledge of CRM software (eg. Dynamics, Salesforce) is a plus
  • Excellent communication / presentation skills and ability to build relationships
  • Organizational and time-management skills

  • Quick ability to learn new concepts and sales methodologies
