Primary accountability for the leadership and management of a multi-facility technical team.
Responsible for the planning, execution, and management of all NPD programs (Transfers and New Development) including multi-site programs.
Responsible for the planning, execution, and management of continuous improvement and optimization programs within across multiple facilities.
Responsible for the definition, planning, and maintenance of a technically qualified and skilled
engineering team across several facilities.
Responsible for ensuring that all programs have defined plans, deliverables, milestones, owners, and accountability.
Provides leadership and support to the manufacturing team to promptly identify, define and resolve manufacturing and assembly problems.
Responsible for identifying, tracking, resolving, and communicating major multi-facility new product ramps and cost reduction initiatives.
Leads the development and implementation of Quality and Regulatory requirements including LRM policies, procedures, and appropriate regulatory requirements.
Plans, Develops, and ensures resources are adequate to execute Process and Test Method Validations (IQ, OQ, PQ, PPQ) in accordance with LRM procedures and guidelines
Communicates procedures, policies, improvement ideas, technical information, and recommendations clearly, effectively and frequently (oral and written) within LRM, with outside suppliers or partners and with LRM customers during formal and informal interactions.
Oversees the creation of documentation with a high degree of accuracy, completeness, and effectiveness driving the use of common LRM engineering tools & templates were available.
Examples include specifications, manufacturing procedures, ECOs, and technical reports or analysis)
Using Lean Leadership experience, applies and Promotes Lean manufacturing techniques to continuously improve cycle times and process flows.
Identifies and directs the execution of improvement efforts to reduce waste in all manufacturing and business processes.
Uses structured problem solving techniques and statistical methods for data driven analysis and decisions.
Using Black Belt experiences, leads DMAIC Six Sigma approaches to solve issues and reduce variation in all manufacturing and business processes.
Plans, executes and manages project activities with cross functional teams including finance, human resources, operations, quality and sales.
Project types can include new product development and introduction, manufacturing transfers, continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives, quality improvements and sales opportunities.

Demonstrates technical ability through the application of engineering skills, approaches and knowledge.

Performs all duties and directs others creating a safe working environment for our employees and our communities.
Performs other duties as necessary.
Supports a technically strong engineering resources group that can meet the objective of the company through teaching of engineering skills and outside training.
Supports sales, manufacturing, quality, and customer service with the resources and engineering information required from the engineering department.
Forecasts annual department budget and manages to that budget.
Forecasts manpower work loads for upcoming projects and ensures that future projects can be managed to a successful completion with optimal use of internal staff.
Establishes and maintains contact with customers during all phases or projects.
