Turnitin is looking for a Regional Director for the Latin America region!
We are looking for an experienced business and people manager that is ambitious, innovative, a self starter, and has an entrepreneurial and global mindset.
We value team leadership, global mindset and experience (including fluency in the regional languages), entrepreneurship to lead growth with a sense of urgency and effectiveness, and a good communicator with the team members and the executive leadership team.
The Regional Director will have experience in team organization, consultative sales in a business to business commercial model and be an expert negotiator.
The Regional Director understands and drives demand generation strategies and tactics in coordination with Regional Marketing .
A successful candidate will have experience driving the book of business growth and a land and expand strategy, as well as, have experience in the educational technology business to business industry.
The Regional Director is responsible for the overall performance, growth and guidance for renewals and new customers for the Region.
and the ability to delegate duties for increased efficiency and performance. The Regional Director will be able to build and maintain sound working relationships with all internal departments.
The Regional Director must be motivational and progressive with actions and commitments. They are responsible for understanding and appreciating organizational and regional performance and business expectations, as well as, maintaining and growing our business in the region.
The Regional Director will report into the Regional VP.
Responsibilities of the Regional Director will include :
Guide the overall direction of the region
Be driven by data and have an evidence based management style
Develop and implement a regional strategic plan every year, using input from the regional leadership and individual team members
Mentor and train sales teams to achieve sales goals
Develop a thorough understanding of the company’s products, as well as, of competing products
Guide the presentation of professional proposals and presentations
Organize the functional areas according to business opportunities for growth, and acknowledging we work and operate as a remote team
Build and maintain strong customer relationships
Diagnosing problems with the running of the business and formulating effective solutions
Reporting on sales and team performance on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis
Provide constructive feedback on time and when appropriate
Ensure compliance of sales agents and sales management with the company’s operational and value standards, the Turnitin way
Monitor CRM systems to track performance and give general reports and updates to regional VP as required
Ensure the development of all team members to achieve their full potential
Live in a Latin American country
Proficiency in Spanish and English, with Portuguese a plus
Proven track record of exceeding financial and sales goals
Proven experience in a senior management position
The ability to make critical decisions under pressure
Excellent organizational skills
Efficient communication skills
