The Mexico Accounting Manager supports the monthly, quarterly and annual close process and consolidation for this country and will have high visibility access to senior leadership supporting ChemTreat global Finance organization.
This position will be responsible of Manage a team of 2 to 3 direct reports .
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain the accuracy and timeliness of financial / accounting processes and reporting in accordance with the Company's accounting policies and US GAAP.
Perform the monthly cycle accounting including : timely review and submission of expenditure for payment by the Accounts Payable Department, working with third party billing company to address any billing discrepancies, monthly journal entries, prepaids, accruals, maintenance of fixed asset ledgers and reconciliations as appropriate.
Prepare monthly reporting packages and review and analyze variances.
Submit monthly reporting packages, including detailed supporting workpapers in accordance with Company policies.
Ability to prepare detailed balance sheet analysis and variances.
Identify process and control deficiencies and work with the Global Assistant Controller to implement and ensure Company's policies.
Coordinate the flow of information to external auditors for the annual audit
Comply with local, state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
Partner with the Corporate Accounting Department to improve the financial processes, policies, reporting and controls throughout the business.
Respond to Global assistant controller as assigned with accurate and timely work to facilitate financial and operational needs.
Responsible for the timely completion and submission of the account reconciliations per company policy
Assists with special projects as needed
Provides accounting assistance to project managers and operations staff
Responds to financial questions / concerns to meet business needs.
