PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
SAP HEC Delivery is responsible for running SAP applications in HANA Enterprise Cloud (HEC) in state of the art’ cloud datacenters around the globe.
Within HEC Delivery, Technical Operations unit is responsible for 24x7 operations of important and critical SAP systems and applications embedded in an international delivery approach.
Within the Technical Operations unit the team Server Management is focusing on virtual and physical server operations in HEC.
Main locations of SM are Germany, Mexico, India and Romania. Operations are focused on a cloud-like delivery approach with large server pools (>
30 000 servers globally), highly available infrastructure landscapes (server cluster, operating systems with support of storage systems), very high level of automation.
Driving continuous improvement is one main lever to increase operation availability and efficiency. Infrastructure landscape re-architecture and new technology adoption is another important part.
Global thinking and a strong customer focus are essential.
