As the General Manager for the Viasat Mexico Fixed Broadband, you will be responsible financially and operationally for the fixed broadband business in Mexico, with end-to-end responsibility for the performance of the Mexico operating entity, and with all local staff reporting to you via your management team.

Your responsibilities will include :

  • Profit & Loss responsibility for the local Viasat Mexico company according to agreed targets.
  • Drive performance and strategy development of the Mexican operating company through careful monitoring of results and proactively initiating initiatives to correct any shortfalls and act on opportunities to exceed targets.
  • Build and maintain external relationships with customers, employee representatives, government, technology and business partners.
  • Be an accessible and visible leader to the organization, building on a performance led culture; develop executives and, as necessary, recruit outstanding executive talent to the company’s Mexican activities, promotions, products etc.
  • Forge and maintain positive long-term links with relevant local external stakeholders such as government, customers, partners, etc.

  • Requirements

  • BA in Economics / Communications / Finance / Engineering
  • 10+ years of experience in the telecommunications or consumer technology industries
  • General management and P&L experience of leading teams encompassing multiple functions
  • Strong commercial foundations in the industry and consumer services
  • Basic understanding of Mexican market and regional characteristics
  • Understand subscriber economics
  • Business level fluency in English
  • Mexico Citizenship Required
  • Location of Role is Mexico City and / or Mexico offices TBD
