What will be the main challenge of the position

We are looking for a Materials Planner, located in our Celaya Plant responsible to effectively predict and communicate product movement on a part number detail, by week and shipment location for the brake product line, Quick Struts and other platforms as assigned.

Develop and execute forecast, inventory planning, replenishment orders or production schedules to provide acceptable aftermarket delivery performance to the customers at each assigned distribution center while meeting required inventory target.

Tools to be utilized will be Manugistics / Cullinet / SAP.

Main activities

  • Report on time the NC materials detected in processes, warehouse and in Receipt of materials Issue eMRR to suppliers with NC material problems.
  • Close eMRR monthly with the shares delivered by supplier
  • Make charges to suppliers for affectation in process, product and consequential expenses
  • Coordinate and carry out meetings with critical suppliers periodically (weekly, monthly, etc.)
  • Manage approvals (PPAP) in the TSP
  • Follow-up and closure of PPAP requirements.
  • Have close communication with SQA for claims, requisition of actions, contentions, and final response from the supplier.
  • Manage, manage and improve quarantine area
  • Preventive and corrective audits on the supplier site
  • Maintain constant communication with the GSCM group.
  • Participate in the elaboration of the Materials / Quality Receipt Control Plans
  • Participation in NPIS / APQP meetings of new products (as required)
  • Participate in personal training as required.
  • Development and proposes improvements in plant
  • Participation and elaboration of Kaizen events
  • Quality management system audits.
  • Six Sigma improvement projects
  • Development of LPA audits
  • Comply with all the requirements of IATF 16949, ISO14001, safety and hygiene determined by the company.
  • Participate in the BAPP process by developing observations
  • Requirement of Credit / Debit Notes to suppliers
  • Third Party Management in plant.
  • Participate in the development of objectives in your area.
  • Has the authority to stop production to correct quality problems
  • What we are looking for

  • Excellent organizational skills and a sense of urgency
  • Good communication skills
  • Fluent speaking and writing in both English and Spanish
  • Self-confidence with ability to drive professional opinion in a constructive way
  • Previous experience in a similar position manufacturing environment (automotive industry preferred)
  • Forecasting / inventory planning and order replenishment experience.
  • Analytical, organizational and communication skills.
