You’ll be part of the Tax team based in Mexico City. Its responsibilities are at the heart of value Added Tax / Goods service tax and other indirect taxes (Business Tax, Stamp Duty etc.
and Tax Technology for Signify organizations located in region of LATAM
What you’ll do
Short-term focus on Mexico issues resulting from acquisition of Cooper Lighting.
Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization(s).
Executes Group Tax strategy, processes, policy & guidelines, risk control framework, monitoring, compliance, reporting and acting upon its risks & provisions (incl.
sign-off) for his / her tax functional area.
Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals.
Advises Senior Management, Group Tax, Businesses and Markets and other (Group) Functions, especially Accounting operations for VAT reporting on tax matters of his / her specific functional area.
Coordinates / Supports on tax audits, M&A and litigation.
Increases Signify organizational knowledge of indirect taxes (incl. trainings, technical guidance etc.).
Ensures quality, accuracy and integrity of tax information (i.e. underlying documentation, tax data, compliance data etc.

Participates with functional team in communication with internal and external stakeholders such as experts from other functions or third-party providers.
What you’ll need
Above 3-5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or above 2-3 years of relevant experience and a Master’s degree.
A seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization being indirect taxes; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways.
University degree in Tax, Law, Economics, Finance, Accounting. Accounting. Qualification (CTA, CPA, RA, RC, ACCA or comparable) is strong plus.
Good English and Spanish communication skills.
