This position will be focusing primarily on our Reserve Power applications, which include telecommunications, IT, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), utilities and switchgear, security, emergency lighting and general electronics.
Some of the reserve power brands include PowerSafe,DataSafe, and Genesis. Our extensive product range serves a variety of reserve power applications and consistently delivers the most effective, powerful and reliable batteries available.
The Supplier Quality Engineer will work in a team environment with suppliers to develop and implement best practices that emphasize defect prevention, reduction in variation and waste, and provide for continuous improvements in meeting all customer requirements.
The position will collect root cause analysis and provide corrective feedback to prevent line stops due to supply issues and manage product specific requirements and offer technical support to suppliers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Leading / conducting supplier and product approval with an advanced product quality planning
Lead / participate in problem analysis and resolution using problem-solving techniques, such as 8D, A3, etc.
Risk assessment and process capabilities for purchased items through statistical Process Control (SPC), Failure Mode & Effect Analysis (FMEA) application, Gauge R&R, and Lean-Six Sigma knowledge.
Execute product qualification and validation for purchased items
Establish regular supplier performance monitoring
Conducting supplier evaluation and audit
Utilizing project management techniques
