Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is now seeking a Director, Development to join our team at WHG Mexico in Ciudad de Mexico, N / A.
The Director of Development will be responsible for growing WHR brands in México. This position will identify, evaluate, negotiate and close new partnerships under either franchise agreements or management contracts.
These may take the form of single contract agreements, multiple property deals and Non-Exclusive Development (NEDA) agreements.
This person will drive growth for all brands throughout the region to increase the size and scope of the portfolio.
Forge and maintain lasting relationships throughout the industry with potential investors, consultants, brokers, advisors, service providers and financiers.
Plan and participate in industry conferences and roadshows to communicate the capability and strategy of the organization from a development perspective.
The Director of Development will be an integral part of the process of structuring each franchise or management agreement, most critically during the final negotiations.
The Director of Development México will make decisions at the highest level which will impact the company’s room growth.
The candidate will have a high level of autonomy as key contributor within the region. She / He will create a stable pipeline of new deals, relationships and negotiations for steady development growth throughout the region.
This position’s nature requires frequent travel availability.
No direct reporting responsibilities.
Scope / Financial Responsibility
The Director of Development is responsible for room growth, a key driver of our business success in the region, along with EBITDA growth.
Experience / Certificates / Education
The ideal candidate will be an experienced hospitality professional with direct exposure to the hotel real estate sphere.
She / He will have significant experience of all phases of the development timeline from project identification, analysis and feasibility through to contract negotiation.
She / He will have negotiated the various types of agreement and transactions relevant to hotel development throughout the region.
The candidate will also therefore have built a substantial network of contacts with potential investors, consultants, brokers, advisors and financiers who can contribute to bringing a potential deal to reality.
