YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Create and ensure that our processes are robust enough to enable our people to produce high quality engines to meet the company standards.
Ensure that our equipment and tools maximize the VA / NVA ratio while taking into consideration our workers reality, using top of the line technologies.
Be heavily involved with product engineers to assure that product characteristics can be manufactured as specified.
As part of the manufacturing department of a top of the line company innovation and a continuous strive for excellence are a must.
Assure assigned project are achieved on a timely manner by working closely with the NPD team where providing anticipated roadblocks before mass production is a key responsibility.
Actively participate in developing and maintaining the FMEA’s to ensure adapted counter-measures to the risks are properly implemented in the engines assembly lines.
Help create a continuous improvement culture by using lean manufacturing principles and our BRPMS tools.
Ensure collaboration between the different departments by leading, developing and coaching his teammates to optimize safety, quality, productivity and cost in a fast pace environment.
Participate in establishing budget and resource planning, and then control department cost to meet financial objectives (capital expenditures, operational expenses, etc.)
Collaborate enthusiastically in promoting BRP work culture daily by spreading a winning attitude and participating in the activities that will keep the company CSR philosophy.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronic, Engineer or similar.
Bilingual (English & Spanish), French or German will be considered a plus.
Energetic, determined personality and leadership skills are a must
Be able to work under pressure while meeting deadlines
Customer oriented and team working skills
5 to 8 years of experience in a production related environment.
3-5-year experience leading successful project implementation.
Be dynamic, independent and skilled at decision-making
Knowledge and experience using continuous improvement tools (ex : six sigma)
Have a sense of initiative, show excellent judgment and understanding of the global company business
Be able to deliver a budget, make forecasts and mitigate risks
Knowledge of ERP systems is a must (SAP is an asset)
Knowledge of SCADA, MES systems considered a plus
Experience in one piece flow and Model mix assembly
Production floor job with minimal office presence
