MAIN DUTIES ANDRESPONSABILITIES :
Responsible forthe establishing and executing a process to drive continuous improvement acrossthe disciplines from the shop floor to the office.
Establish andcoordinate World Class Measurements as necessary to determine manufacturingperformance and capability.
Providetechnical guidance and facilitate problem-solving methodologies regardingquality-related issues (i.e. six sigma methodologies, MBF problem solvingprocess, 8-D, FMEA).
Ability to useformalized problem solving approaches to effectively define problems and drivesolutions.
Experience withthe TPS tools, (5S, VSM-Value Stream Mapping, Process Mapping, PolicyDeployment, Kanban, TPM, JIT, Cellular Mfg, SMED, TQC, 3P's-Lean line design,Flow concepts, etc.)
Knowledgeable inISO / 9000 and IATF- standards and requirements.
Must believe inmetrics that measure operational excellence.
Capacity tounderstand the corporate vision, and the ability to share this vision with thebusiness unit.
COMPETENCESAND SKILLS :
Computer literacy and analytical skills must be above average,including experience with Microsoft suite products.
Six Sigma exposure / training. Black Belt or Green Belt trainingpreferred, with demonstrated project management skills. Prefered
Ability to travel.
Demonstrate strong leadership skills, with the ability toeffectively function in a supportive / consultative role. Must be able to showsuccess by influencing others, not necessarily directing them.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams.
Automotive plants experience is a plus.
Bilingual (English-Spanish) 90%.
Excellent communication and facilitation skills, both oral andwritten demonstrated by the ability to effectively present information andrespond to questions.
Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
desirable Master's Degree (MBA).
Minimum of four years’ experience in a technical capacity(Engineering, Manufacturing or Quality).
