Work with suppliers and internal manufacturing to improve the quality of the parts.
Facilitate the participation of suppliers through on-site audits.
Validate supplier compliance with specifications and other contracting requirements for new and transition products. Multifunctionally determine component qualification requirements.
Generate and / or analyze variations to avoid impacts on the supply chain due to parts quality problems.
Supervise future Inspection / MRB activities as well as personnel.
QA warehouse management (INSP, MRB).
Coordinate the Materials Review Board
Support component engineering with the first item evaluations to qualify new suppliers and / or manufacturers.

Financial decisions are generally made by the next level of management.
Job Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience supplier quality improvement, supplier development, quality audits, and continuous process improvement in a manufacturing-related environment.
Fully Bilingual English-Spanish (written and spoken)
Knowledge and demonstrated experience in using Lean Six Sigma tools
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
Experience working on Minitab
Detail oriented individual with excellent English communication skills.
Ability to manage priorities / time with competing demands.
Ability to travel to locations / regions in North, Central and South America and acquire appropriate visa’s when required.
Six Sigma certification
Certified Quality Engineer, or Certified Quality Auditor
Working knowledge and application of ISO quality Standards
Experience with the development and documentation of quality systems processes and procedures. Experience creating and documenting standard operating procedures (SOP) for supplier integration, development and metrics (Desired)
Good Analytical skills
Tenacious capability to engage suppliers and follow through on requirements
Experience and knowledge in a commodity process expertise : e.g. Molding, Plating, Sheet Metal fabrication, High Speed Stamping
Prefered experience in at least one of these PCBA’s, Electronics, Fiber Optics, Plating and painting technology, Metal Fabrication.
