The role of the Program Director is to provide managerial oversight and leadership across the people, budgets, administrative tasks, and processes across multiple projects concurrently.
The Program Director works with our members, functional and matrix managers, and staff to ensure that projects are delivered on schedule and within budget, consistent with defined EO guidelines and processes and with stakeholder expectations.
This role will be responsible for successful implementation of Global Technology programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Directs, manages, plans, and develops methods and procedures for implementing a program and multiple software products concurrently.
Oversees multiple projects and regularly exercises independent judgment and a high level of analytical skill in solving complex and unusual technical, administrative, and managerial problems.
Maintains relationships with multiple stakeholders.
Directs and coordinates program activities and exercise control over for specific functions or phases of a program.
Confers with Project Managers and staff to explain program and individual responsibilities for functions and phases of a program.
Provides program management for cross-functional teams.
Provides program management on projects with tight deadlines and strict budget constraints.
Manages program risk, including pre-project preparations and day-to-day operational aspects of multiple projects. Execute project close activities accurately and on-time.
Determines estimated time and financial commitment of project, and monitors progress for multiple projects concurrently.
Manages program and project specific budgets in alignment with overall approved budgets.
Partners with customers and analyze issues and problems from the customer perspective.
Develops detailed status reports for both project management team and stakeholders across multiple products and projects.
Possess an unwavering commitment to customer service and operational excellence.
Removes impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment.

Determine with the team, the best method(s) for implementation, traditional project approach or scrum / agile methodologies.
Manages and maintains both project disciplines, waterfall and scrum / agile.
Facilitates and implements appropriate reporting, dashboards and tracking of all work.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
BA or BS or equivalent combination of experience, education and training.
CSM (Certified Scrum Master)
PMP (Project Management Professional)
Minimum of 10-15 years of Project / Program / Portfolio Management (Waterfall & Agile)
Experience in a program director role in software development and or technical disciplines that were diligently applying waterfall and agile methodologies, practices and theory and can adjust based on level of knowledge, training and experience within the organization
Skilled and knowledgeable at servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment and increasing transparency
Knowledge of various well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach
Understanding of various agile methodologies
Excellent interpersonal skills; ability communicate effectively, orally, in writing and presentation
Critical thinking and analytical skills
Ability to operate independently and apply strategic thinking with technical depth
Ability to negotiate effectively with staff / contractors / consultants / vendors.
Good understanding of the organizations goals and objectives
Highly self-motivated and directed
The employee is normally required to work in a high-rise building equipped with elevators in an environment where the noise level is usually moderate.
May be assigned to an internal work space without windows to the outside, located in close proximity to other office personnel.
