HOW WILL YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE?
Providing legal advice in all the activities of the company (multi division for Mexico, Central America and Caribbean Legal Support - Providing proactive legal advice and direction for both Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices divisions.
Policy Setting - Ensuring consistency of application of contract policy across the region and where possible the standardization of policy across Abbott and to proactively advise on updating contract policy to reflect business changes.
Implementation of commercial risk analyses for bids, tenders, contracts and product business cases; to lead on the development of risk assessment and specifically to identify and quantify commercial, legal and business risks, develop appropriate mitigation strategies and make a professional assessment of residual risks.
Provides legal expertise and creative contractual and commercial advice and solutions to appropriate levels of management.
Provide Legal support for Abbott in complex and strategic commercial negotiations with customers including in some circumstances complex multi-divisional transactions.Sector

To be successful in this role, you will require the following qualifications :
Skills / Experience :
University degree (>
10 years) experience in a legal / pharmaceutical environment as (international) business lawyer. Hierarchical planning and management of a small legal department with up to 2 legal counsels Ability to interact with Senior Management and getting consensus Autonomous, reliable, meticulous, self-confident, "teamwork capable", well organized and supportive of multitasking and high pressure and demand of work volume Ability to work within and / or lead multi-disciplined internal and external teams, and where appropriate work with limited guidance, subject to capability.
Highly skilled in leading or supporting face-to-face complex customer negotiations, project management and transactions, risk awareness, escalation and team working.
High level of commercial, legal, regulatory and business acumen (Pharma and Medical Devices). Strategic Priorization
