The Senior Manager of Brand Protection Investigations for Mexico (SMM) will be based in Guadalajara, North Campus . Responsible for all assigned investigations while ensuring compliance with local, state, Federal and country laws and all Flex policies.
Such investigations will typically consist of allegations of violations of the Business Code of Conduct, breaches of confidential information, material discrepancy and loss incidents or other criminal activity involving Company property or personnel.
Working in this capacity, the SMM will work closely with and present investigation findings to the DGI, Corporate Legal and Compliance Team, Human Resources, Site Management, and other persons and groups as appropriate.
Investigations assignments will be located at GUAD as well as other Mexico sites.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do :
Conduct and lead day to day investigation activities
Participate in assessments and audits
Conduct public information searches to support investigations
Document allegations, casework and investigative findings, including writing incident reports and utilizing case management software and databases
Present investigative findings to appropriate stakeholders and negotiate corrective action ownership
Identify and document process controls and system gaps
Develop and track corrective action initiatives
In cases of loss, identify loss mitigation and restitution opportunities
Work with local law enforcement and judiciary agencies on criminal investigations and prosecutions as necessary
As a subject matter expert for BPS initiatives, provide support and guidance to sites on investigative, asset protection and intellectual property matters
Engage in other activities aimed at protecting the reputation, intellectual property and assets of Flex and its customers
This position requires significant independent thinking, investigative expertise in conducting confidential investigations, familiarity with the electronics manufacturing environment, as well as proactive measures such as assessments and audits.
Accordingly, this position requires an understanding of production operations, inventory tracking methodologies, physical security systems, protection of personnel, assets and intellectual property, and government sponsored supply chain security programs (e.g. C-TPAT).
The SMM must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple investigations and projects simultaneously.
The SMM will demonstrate the highest levels of personal conduct, ethical behavior and discretion in dealing with confidential information.
Here is some of what you’ll need (required) :
4-year degree in business, law, criminal justice or a related field of study or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
Minimum 10-years of relevant combinations of experience within a large organization, preferably within the manufacturing ecosystem or law enforcement community.
Extensive criminal and commercial investigative background with emphasis on ethics, fraud and theft incidents.
Understanding of relevant regional criminal laws and criminal prosecution methodology
Understanding of the laws of evidence including preserving, processing and documenting evidence
Demonstrated expertise in interview and interrogation techniques
Understanding of the governmental supply chain security solutions (C-TPAT, AOE, STP etc)
Understanding of loss prevention and security vulnerability assessment methodologies
Understanding of security staffing operations, security systems and the loss prevention and physical security principles specific to the hi-
tech and general manufacturing industries, their supply chain and customer base
Written and spoken fluency in Spanish and English
Ability to document and present investigative findings to appropriate prosecuting agencies and all levels of Flex management
Ability to formulate and articulate security / intellectual property vulnerability findings to all levels of management
Ability to independently develop and market value-add corrective actions and recommendations in support of findings
Effectiveness at developing internal and external alliances and liaisons with law enforcement, regulatory agency representatives and customer / industry peers
Ability to travel frequently and for extended periods of time at short notice
Must be computer literate with strong end user skills and proficiency in MS Office applications
Possession of a passport in country of citizenship and ability to obtain visas and travel globally as required
