Working as an Component Buyer at Signify is dynamic. You ll be part of a dedicated global Component Planning team. We’re greater together through peer learning in our globally diverse team, with different backgrounds and nationalities.
We’re looking for an Component Buyer who’ll be responsible of ensure availability of the components necessary to complete customer orders strong passion for results must be in your DNA.
What you’ll do
Work in close cooperation with Procurement, Product Management and R&D.
Issue orders for components and control of their execution
Take improvement actions in order to ensure the reliability of confirmations of orders and timely deliveries
Ensure availability risks of components are properly assessed at project milestones
Weekly review of availability of components for planned production and drive shortage resolution by e.g. transfers between co-makers, priority settings / allocations, load rebalancing, etc.
Initiate, implement and participate in improvement projects to improve supply reliability, lead times, commonality and obsolescence for components;
SAP parameter and logistics views maintenance
Maintenance and components inventory control according to the established limits / safety stock parameters
Preparing logistics contracts
The execute actions to minimize slow moving and obsoletes costs
Participation in the phase in / phase out of the components
What you’ll need
Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or Business Administration
5-10 years of experience in planning, preferably within outsourced manufacturing business models
Up-to-date knowledge on latest supply chain concepts of the commercial and industrial organization
Knowledge of APICS (CPIM) or other comparable certifications is preferred.
Ability to operate in a dynamic business environment
Excellent communication skills in English, and local language if relevant
