The Risk Modelling Analyst is an important member of the Risk Team in Genworth MI Mexico, will report to the Risk Modelling Manager.
Location : Our office is located in Mexico City in Santa Fe. Currently we are still working from home and we plan to return to the office in a Flexible Working scheme, probably in January of 2021.
Your role :
PRICING & UNDERWRITING :
Provide assumptions for the pricing and risk mitigation actions including integration of pricing models, methodologies and assumptions.
Implement and propose new tools and systems to better underwrite, oversight and manage loans.
Review claims for opportunities to mitigate losses and suggest policy changes.
Manage and generate monthly metrics
Help in the creation, analysis and delivery of monthly reports
Coordinate CTR’s estimation and pricing assumptions.
Coordinate estimation and implement new (maintain and use existing) risk score models.
Coordinate, and monitor the performance of decision systems.
Measure accuracy of forecasting models.
Assessing model validation, such as conceptual soundness and quality of the reports.
Evaluating model assumptions and data integrity.
Advising on the development of challenger models for benchmarking comparisons.
Interacting with auditors and internal reviewers on all aspects of the Model Risk Management program.
Review methodology, produce results and run back tests of Loss Forecasting models.
Take responsibility for projects (implementation / development) including coordinating the work of others.
Participate in the New Product Development process, validating the viability of any new product opportunity from a risk, financial and underwriting perspective
Qualifications Required :
2 years + of proven experience in Financial Services Industry
Undergraduate in a quantitative discipline (mathematics, actuarial science, engineering, economics, etc.)
Prior experience in developing statistical models for finance products
Self-motivated, high energy level, works well under pressure, Collaboration skills and working with excellence behavior
Qualifications Preferred :
Knowledge of the array of mortgage products and offered across Mexico.
Desirable experience using statistical package r.
Excellent communication skills (English proficiency - Medium)
Graduate studies in operations research, statistics, econometrics, or other related quantitative disciplines
