    PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    As Senior Computer Systems Administrator Analyst, you will operate by following established systems, processes and procedures, executing your workflow via structured tasks.

    Your duties and responsibilities may include :

  • Manages the lifecycle (ticket generation to closure) of all in-scope incidents and service requests in line with service tickets best practice ways of working.
  • Resolves incidents and fulfills service requests with high level of customer service.
  • Prepare and maintain Knowledge Documents for services in scope.
  • Provide support, guidance & training to peers when required.
  • Participate in testing for introduction of new or improved services.
  • Develop knowledge base and expertise around BU application / solution portfolio.
  • Administer Servers (VM & Physical) in a multiple Operating system environment to include Redhat Linux, Windows 2012, 2016, 2019.
  • This includes new builds, upgrades, and troubleshooting maintaining existing systems in the global environment.

  • Administer / Build / Troubleshoot the VM Environment in main DC and various other remote locations. This includes support / upgrades of ESX environment, network support and VM support.
  • Investigate Server / Application / user problems, identify their source, determine possible solutions, test and implement solutions.
  • Install, configure, and maintain user computers, servers, network cabling, and other related equipment, devices, and systems;
  • adds or upgrades and configures disk drives, printers, and related equipment.

  • Perform and / or oversee various software and application development, installation, and upgrades. (SolarWinds, IPAM / Infoblox, Ivanti, etc.)
  • Maintain license documentation and asset management for department / organization.
  • Plan and implement system security, including managing host security, file permissions, backup and disaster recovery plans, file system integrity, patching and active directory (ALS) management / configuration.
  • Troubleshoot networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct errors / malfunctions and other operational difficulties.
  • Identify utilization patterns and their effect on operation / system availability and performance expectations.
  • Anticipate communication and networking problems and implement preventive measures.
  • Establish and perform maintenance programs following company and vendor standards.
  • Ensure timely user notification of maintenance requirements and effects on system availability.
  • Investigate, recommend and install enhancements and operating procedures that optimize system availability.
  • Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the systems / applications.
  • Document system / server problems and resolutions for future reference.

  • Currently, we're working remotely, Monday through Friday, beginning around 8 AM, however, you should be flexible (starting earlier or staying later some days) to meet demands.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Excellent knowledge of IT infrastructure including, but not limited to, servers, data fabric networks, storage, monitoring and related middleware products
  • Strong technical skills in the areas of server hardware, operating system software, storage technologies, backup technologies, monitoring and management products, middleware software products, server to storage networking fabric, with a focus on Linux OS
  • Good knowledge of working with a Service Desk tool such as Ivanti Service Management
  • Strong trouble shooting and analytical skills.
  • Very good English verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present ideas
  • Ability to adapt to working beyond borders (AMER, EMEA, APAC regions)
  • Knowledge and experience of the cloud and cloud-based tools such as AWS, Azure, and working in a digital environment. Strong candidates will have experience in migrating datacenter workloads to public cloud.
  • Innovation and Automation first mindset. Practitioner of scripting and automation toolset (PowerShell, Python, Ansible) to automate tasks and processes.
  • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor Degree in IT or business related field or the recognized equivalent in work experience or self-study
  • 5-7 years of experience in a related position in a corporate environment
  • Broad technical knowledge and support experience
  • Experience with server OS (Linux and Windows or VMware)
