The main responsibilities are to :
Plan and purchase materials to support production schedules. Contact suppliers, place orders, and monitor to ensure on time delivery.
Maintain MRP item site records, lead times and safety stock levels
Reduce the inventory levels while servicing manufacturing and packaging requirements
Monitor and enhance supplier performance through effective use of supplier ratings system. Communicate with suppliers to resolve quality problems.
Process non conformance, corrective actions and returns to vendors
Assist accounts payable to resolve invoice disputes
Implement and achieve cost saving strategies in line with corporate purchasing department goals
Understand, interpret, and analyze engineering changes request and the impact to inventory
Communicate specification changes with suppliers and maintain supplier acknowledgment files
Follow department procedures
Verify data accuracy; parts numbers, BOMs, part costs (PPV Reports) in MFG / Pro - Agile
Report problems to purchasing manager and supply chain manager promptly
be able to provide back-up solutions when there is minimal capacity available. Follow work instructions
Participate in CAPA projects as required by management. Follow established and documented procedures for CAPA
Carry out other complementary activities demanded by the company that can be including duties and responsibilities of MRO buyer
Responsible to contribute to the personal and plant safety in accordance with established policies
Perfil del candidato
Four year Baccalaureate degree, preferably in Business. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain management and planning in a manufacturing environment.
APICS Certified or ISM Certified preferred. Bilingual English and Spanish.
