Interested in joining our mission? Take a look at career opportunities at Viasat today. Job Responsibilities As Senior Business Operations Project Manager you will lead operations of our Viasat Community Internet (VCI) platform and service in LATAM with our partners.
You will be a critical team member contributing to our mission objective - connect over 100 million users each month! You will utilize your operations, project management and leadership expertise to work hand-in-hand with our regional partners to ensure our product and services is operating at peak performance! You will be the central point for a cross-functional team to ensure all aspects of the operations are running smoothly.
You will work closely with our product team and revenue managers to maximum value creation and capture. You will utilize both internal and external resources to complete strategic milestones in order to meet and exceed expected deliverables.
As Sr. Business Operations Project Manager you will lead all aspects of operating our VCI service in your assigned LATAM countries.
Managing overall day-to-day operations and ensuring peak performance of our service and products. Ensure we deliver the best possible experience to our end-users, hot-spot hosts, and regional partners.
Driving process improvement across the business in all areas such as, site selection, sales, marketing, training, fulfillment, field support, revenue collections, reporting, etc.
Relentlessly focused on optimizing costs and realizing operational advantages over our competitors. Leading regional launch programs in new areas and / or leading the launch of new services or products in existing regions.
Utilizing your project management skills to maintain control of scope, cost, and schedule. Collaborating with our partners, marketing, product, and business analytics teams to deploy new services that enable us to win against the competition and gain market share.
Working closely with customer care (Tiers 1, 2 and 3) to aggregate customer feedback and identify top impacting issues. Developing and leading plans to drive resolution of issues and process enhancements.
Providing key feedback for product improvements with the product and technical teams. Representing the needs of your region and partner and being advocate for improvements.
Acting as a stakeholder for user acceptance testing. Leading and / or supporting weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings with our partners, including governance meetings.
Managing internal and external stakeholders. Ensuring training is updated and periodically delivered to our partners and hot-spot hosts as the product matures or as inefficiencies are uncovered.
Coordinating network and IT changes with our internal network / IT teams and our partners Working with partners and internal supply / demand planning for effective inventory management, logistics and fulfillment.
Managing reverse logistics. Effectively managing and mitigating risks for the operations, including communication of impacts, probabilities, and mitigation costs.
Requirements 7+ years of successful Operations Project Management experience, with responsibilities managing complex operations / programs that require working with both external and internal partners.
5+ years of experience in managing fulfillment & field operations, customer support center (call center), and / or sales operations.
Preferred experience in satellite internet / television, mobile network operations, or other comparable markets. Well versed in establishing and working to operational KPIs across the business, and ability to quickly correct course when trends fall of track.
Experienced with standard PMO and PMP practices. Expertise in utilization of project management tools and ability to switch focus between breadth vs.
depth of the WBS as needed. Process development, management, and optimization expert. Able to define processes from abstract concepts.
Competent in Lean / Continuous Improvement operating principles; continuously reviews, iterates on, and optimizes existing processes.
Analytical and solution focused tendencies. Ability to think creatively and to leverage data to make key decisions. Strength in defining and presenting a compelling vision for the ongoing operations objectives that aligns and motivates team members to meet the common goal.
Capable of performing with excellence in a start-up environment with minimal oversight. Thrive in ambiguous environments.
Comfortable working with demanding external partners and customers, including possessing strong relationship management skills.
Consistently demonstrates a growth mindset.
