Job Summary :

Provides support for the customer and sales team to ensure effective and efficient response to the customer.

Principal Responsibilities :

  • Supports assigned sales team in all phases of the sale including : quote process, order tracking, purchasing, delivery and backlog.
  • Receives and processes telephone requests from customers for sales orders
  • Provides standard quotes with price and availability and other customer required information prior to purchase.
  • Refers complex orders to appropriate sales team member providing details of unique customer requirements.
  • Investigates inventory stock shortages on products ordered by customers, initiating corrective action as needed.
  • Coordinates the substitution of parts as authorized by sales personnel or solutions provider.
  • Obtains authorization for substitution and replacement of products from sales personnel or solutions provider.
  • Investigates and resolves complex problems including : orders not received, proof of deliveries, delivery issues, credit and pricing, tax and freight discrepancies etc.
  • Reviews order status and maintains effective and timely internal and external customer and sales team communications regarding backlog.
  • Extracts order information from computer systems to provide management with the data for inclusion in various scheduled and special reports.
  • Performs a variety of clerical support duties.
  • May be asked to assist / support Supervisor / Manager in various aspects :
  • Leadership role in absence of Supervisor / Manger
  • Training of fellow team members
  • Work on special projects with a focus on operational excellence
  • Manage customer safe passage process and associated documentation

  • Work Experience :

  • Up to 2 years in Sales, Customer Service or related position.
  • Education and Certification(s) :

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
