What will be the main challenge of the position

We are looking for a Process Quality Engineer , located in our Celaya Plant responsible for ensuring the satisfaction of the final customer through quality assurance of final assemblies for the shock and strut lines.

Main activities

  • Verify that the control plan is implemented in assembly line and report production deviations and / or variations of process, product or labor.
  • Ensure that changes made to the floor are documented in the control plan from SOP + 90 and until the completion of the project.

  • Coordinate the activities necessary for the resolution of nonconformities of the product with the client supporting the containment and resolution of the problem.
  • Responsible for monitoring the SAP for material movements in and out of quarantine.
  • Active member of the group of internal auditors for IATF 16949
  • Responsible for monitoring the CEP and verifying that production makes the necessary adjustments to fulfill the target Cpk.
  • Analyzes trends and quality behaviors (rejections, Cpk, repetitiveness, etc.) to inform production of adjustments required in production to meet the objectives of PPMs, rejections and Scrap.
  • Has the authority to stop production to correct quality problems.
  • Participates in the preparation and review of AMEF, HTE, HI, etc.
  • Participation in meetings with the corporate for the follow-up of pending activities for quality assurance.
  • Visit customers periodically or monitor their satisfaction using email or phone calls confirming with written evidence.
  • Participate in the development of objectives in your area.
  • Review customer portals
  • Understand, apply and verify that the specific requirements of the client are followed in your areas of influence, as well as the changes that may occur.
  • Understand and use the tools provided by customers and the corporate for quality assurance and continuous improvement (8Ds, Fish Diagrams, Lean, Six Sigma, COPQ, Customer concerns, 0PPM Plan).
  • Contribute to the development of the APQP and elaboration of PPAP as well as its presentation to the corresponding clients
  • Monitoring and validation of corrective actions
  • Comply with all the requirements of IATF 16949, ISO14001, safety and hygiene determined by the company.

  • Previous experience in a similar position (manufacturing environment) in the automotive industry
  • What is the experience you need to have for the job

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2 to 3 years in the automotive industry
  • IATF 16949, ISO 14001 experience required
