The Engagement and Release Manager is accountable for a succesful partnership relationship with our customer (s) by ensuring a timely product delivery as a consequence of developing high-performance teams following Tiempo Quality System (TQS) definitions and implementation of Tiempo Core Values.

Areas of Responsabilities

People Management

  • Have multiple Scrum Masters, Product Owners and Software Engineering Leads as direct reports.
  • Serve as a primary contact to escalate issues from the engineering Team. ERM Must ensure everyone in the assignation is aware he / she is available for them at all times.
  • Make sure that assigned teams have sufficient and adequate tools, infrastructure, and resources to do their work efficiently.
  • Identify growth opportunities for people based on business and Tiempo needs and have the ability to elaborate a plan to place them in better positions.
  • Project Management

  • Ensuring the delivery of services with the appropiate level of quality, tehcnical standards, time, scope and budget in accordance with the TQS Configuration.
  • Have a deep understanding of metrics and KPIs to proactively detect areas of improvement and generate actions plans as part of continuous improvement efforts.
  • Update and maintain all program artifacts as required by TQS and customer, and place them in the Program folder.
  • Proactively communicate risk, performance, and people issues, business-related items, progrss to all stakeholders, being the main one the Directors.
  • Product Management

  • Proactively work with the customer to deliver against product release cycles. This includes understanding product requirements, business requirements, budget constraints, and deadlines.
  • Help the customer to organize the backlog, create a roadmap and / or define the timeframe of the release or releases that are needed based on services hired and team configuration.
  • Understand customer needs and have the ability to provide options and solutions to meet the customer expectations and mitigate any risk.
  • Ensure backlog has clear expectations, scope and acceptance criteria that Tiempo teams can estimate and successfully deliver.
  • Requirements

  • Excellent english communication skills, meaning that they can have a clear conversation with a customer and define the scope of work, resource reviews, contract revision, etc.
  • 6+ years of experience in Software Development Manage role.
  • 8+ years of experience in Software Development programs, project or engagements.
  • 6+ years of experience in Agile based Software Development practices. Especially in one of the following roles Scrum Master, Business Analyst and / or Product Owner.
  • Ability to act as one as needed.

  • Experience tracking and reporting metrics in an Agile environment.
  • Experience with Software project management tool track progrss (Jira, VersionOne, TFS, etc).
  • Self-organize and self-driven.
  • Ability to work with Product Manager to asses business requirements and market requirements. After identification, convert those requirements into an actionable backlog for development team to execute.
